Canton La Unión
La Union is the third county in the province of Cartago; it’s the smallest and most populated, only the central canton of Cartago population exceeds the provincial level.
The county has an area of 44.83 km ² with an estimated population of 105,612 habitants.
It’s Central district is Tres Rios.
In pre-Columbian times this territory was governed by Indians called Reino Huetar Norte, these were their first founders around 1717 and 1725
Near San Diego one of its districts we can find the confluence of the rivers Tiribi, Chiquito y La Cruz, from this union comes the name of Tres Rios
In its geographical location we can found to the north the city of Montes de Oca, to the south its limited by Desamparados, to the east with Cartago and to west with Curridabat

ReplyDeleteTres Rios is a very nice place to live. I have a friend who lives near Terra mall. When I visit I like to travel by old road, the houses are very beautiful.
Hi Jazmin. Tres Rios is a nice place to live, has very beautiful places. You do not have to shop to get out of Tres Rios, at best is going to curridabat, which is very close. Indeed Tres Rios is a good place to live
